Guidelines for Accepted Papers

1. Final Paper Submission Requirement

1.1 Please format your final submission using the IEEE provided templates. When your accepted paper is presented, it will appear soon afterwards on IEEE Xplore® (the IEEE Digital Library) and it is important that your submitted PDF file meets the specification for IEEE Xplore.

1.2 Your final submission must follow all IEEE conference formatting requirements (e.g., font sizes, margins, and layout). Thus, check them really carefully.

1.3 Each paper submission should be 4 to 6 pages long. Please address the suggestions raised by the reviewers to improve the quality of your paper and make sure to comply with all formatting requirements. Please note that it is not possible to purchase extra pages.

2. Prepare Final Submission

2.1 Since IEEE is the copyright holder of all papers, all authors, which intend on publishing in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library are required to provide a transfer of copyright. Add the copyright details to the bottom of the first page of your source document before creating PDFs.
Here is an example:

2.2 Copyright details are included below for your reference:

  • ● For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
  • ● For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 979-8-3503-2152-4/23/$31.00 ©2023 Crown.
  • ● For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 979-8-3503-2152-4/23/$31.00 ©2023 European Union.
  • ● For all other papers the copyright notice is: 979-8-3503-2152-4/23/$31.00 ©2023 IEEE

2.3 If you are preparing your paper in Words, you can modify the correct copyright notice at the footer of the first page of the conference paper template.

2.4 If you are preparing your paper in LaTeX and you are using the IEEEconf document class, this may help:
% Add the following code before the \maketitle command:
\IEEEoverridecommandlockouts
\IEEEpubid{\makebox[\columnwidth]{ IEEE copyright notice \hfill} \hspace{\columnsep}\makebox[\columnwidth]{ }}
% Add the following code after the \maketitle command:
\IEEEpubidadjcol

Please make sure you use the appropriate IEEE copyright notice string, as explained above.
Here is the copyright notice example.

3. Paper Upload

3.1 Before uploading your paper, please:

  • ● Check that title and abstract in EasyChair match your camera-ready paper exactly.
  • ● Compare all author names in EasyChair with the author list in your paper. They must be identical and in the same order.
  • ● Ensure that special characters in the paper match the EasyChair entry.

This is very important because we will be using the information provided in EasyChair to generate the final conference program and the table of contents for IEEE Xplore.

3.2 Use IEEE PDF eXpress to check Xplore-compatibility, the BMSB 2023 account uses as the conference ID: 58369X.

EasyChair will prevent you from uploading papers that do not comply with formatting checks. Please check all requirements carefully again if that happens. If you believe your paper is compliant and you are still prevented from uploading, please send your PDF eXpress™-certified PDF file to tpc@bmsb2023.com and ask for advice.

3.3 Upload your paper into Easychair. Log in to EasyChair as PROCEEDINGS AUTHOR. The paper should be uploaded with item "Upload new version", make sure all the paper information all correct.

3.4 Click the "Sign Copyright Agreement" and follow the instructions to sign IEEE Copyright Form. If the copyright form is not completed successfully your paper will not be accepted on IEEExplore.

4. Paper Registration

4.1 Each accepted paper must have at least one Full Registration.

4.2 Please follow the registration guidelines to get a full registration.
