Important Visa Information

If you are planning to attend IEEE BMSB2023 in China, please note that most international delegates will need to obtain a visitor visa (F-type visa) to enter the country. To help you navigate this process, we have outlined the necessary steps below:

  • 1. Register for the BMSB2023 conference. (Guidelines)
  • 2. Request a visa invitation letter by filling out the visa letter request form. You should receive the invitation letter via email within 72 hours.
  • 3. Locate your nearest Chinese Embassy visa office. You can download the visa application form and may be able to schedule an appointment online for a face-to-face meeting to apply for your visa. Alternatively, some local travel agencies may be able to assist you in obtaining a visa for a fee, depending on your country of residence. Please note that due to COVID-19, the visa application process may vary by country.
  • 4. Keep in mind that the entire process from registration to obtaining a visitor visa can take 2 to 4 weeks. We recommend starting the process as soon as possible.

Before Comming to China

Please note that Chinese embassies in most countries (e.g., Canada, Spain, Zurich, South Korea ) will require you to be tested for COVID-19 before traveling to China. Please be sure to read the "Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures" from the Chinese Embassy before you travel so that you can get through security and customs faster after landing.

We look forward to welcoming you in Beijing!
